 Use of GAPIA Association Logo 
 

Section 1: Ownership and Licensing 

The GAPIA Association’s logo is the exclusive property of the Association. Members in good standing are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the logo, strictly adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Board of Directors. 

Section 2: Usage Guidelines 
 

1. Permission and Licensing

*  
Authorized Use: The logo may only be used by current and approved members of the GAPIA Association. 

License Agreement: Members must sign a licensing agreement that outlines the specific terms and conditions of logo
     usage. 

Termination: The right to use the logo is automatically revoked upon termination of membership. 

2. Design Specifications  

Color Scheme: The logo must be used in its official colors. Variations, such as monochrome, are only permitted if explicitly provided by the Association. 

Size and Proportion: The logo must not be stretched, compressed, or distorted. Members must adhere to minimum and maximum size requirements. 

Clear Space: A clear space around the logo, free from text or images, must be maintained. 

Backgrounds: The logo should not be placed on busy or similar-colored backgrounds that may obscure it. Acceptable background options are defined by the Association. 

3. Prohibited Uses  

* Alterations: The logo must not be altered in any way, including changes to colors, elements, or associated text. 

Misrepresentation: The logo cannot be used in a manner that implies endorsement by the Association of any product, service, or opinion not officially supported. 

* Commercial Use: The logo may not be used for commercial purposes unless expressly authorized by the Association. 

4. Placement and Context 

Prominent Placement: The logo must be displayed prominently, ensuring it is not overshadowed by other design elements. 

Context: The logo should only be used in contexts that align with the Association’s mission and values. 

Co-Branding: Specific rules apply to the appearance of the logo alongside other logos or branding elements. 

5. Reporting and Enforcement  

* Monitoring: The Association reserves the right to monitor the use of its logo and to request modifications or removal if the guidelines are not followed. 

* Consequences: Violations of the logo use policy may result in penalties, including the revocation of membership or legal action. 


6. Approval Process

* Pre-Approval: Certain uses of the logo require prior approval from the Association’s Board of Directors. 

 
* Sample Submissions: Members may be required to submit samples of materials featuring the logo for review and approval. 

Section 3: Discretionary Rights 

* The Board of Directors reserves the right to revoke logo usage rights at any time, at its discretion, particularly if any use is deemed unauthorized, misleading, or harmful to the reputation of the Association. 

These elements ensure that the logo is used consistently, maintaining the Association’s brand integrity while allowing authorized members to promote the Association effectively. Members are encouraged to review these rules regularly and adhere to them to avoid misuse
